Measuring powder emission

When producing powders, the air which leaves the installations can still contain a lot of powder. From an economic, environmental and legal viewpoint, the powder needs to be separated from the air.

Powder emissions can be reduced by implementing process-integrated solutions or by adding units for reduction of powder like cyclones or filters. NIZO can perform powder concentration measurements according to NEN-ISO 9096 with an automatic isokinetic emission measurement unit. This can for example be used for controlling newly installed units for the reduction of powder, for measurements of product losses or for the control of maximum emission levels as required by the law.
