    NIZO food research has a broad experience in isolating compounds from complex mixtures in a food grade manner. These methods can be scaled up in our food grade pilot plant, the largest of its kind in Europe. In order to address the activity of functional ingredients, these compounds need to be chemically characterized in detail for which NIZO food research is well equipped.

NIZO food research has large experience with the isolation and production of numerous compounds from complex mixtures, such as proteins, peptides, vitamins, antioxidants, fatty acids and amino acids.

NIZO food research has the possibilities to design isolation and purification processes on a semi-industrial scale. Amongst others NIZO food research owns equipment for large-scale fermentation and hydrolysis processes.
